This is a short account of a Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) I coordinated at a rural school I have been associated with. Despite 100% results, the children of the school never got their due at the gates to higher education or jobs, due to poor language skills and their deprived backgrounds. After administering the education capsules over 8 weekends, packaged as meetings they themselves conducted, including speeches they prepared and delivered with Mentors’ help, they were a changed lot.

The ripple of transformation has been set in motion.

This report is not to draw attention to what we did, but to emphasise what each of us can do to undo the injustice done to certain social segments, by giving them the skills and confidence to blossom.
